Before and after a move
Two services for a move. Before it, Janice edits the house down so you're not paying to move what you'd have donated, and plans the packing. After it, she unpacks and sets up the new home so you're living in it within days.
Packing
Move-in unpacking and setup
Janice arrives the day of the move or the day after. The kitchen is set up first, then bathrooms and bedrooms, then closets, the office, and the garage. Boxes are broken down and removed as they empty, and labels go in as each room is finished.
Needed from you: a floor plan or a walkthrough, and ten minutes on what matters most.
Timing: one to two full days for a two-bedroom home, two to four for a family home. Book two to three weeks ahead. Prices are on the Pricing page.
Move-in
Editing down before a move
Room by room, you decide what makes the trip, and donations leave as you go. Then a packing plan: what's packed last and opened first, an essentials box for the first night, and labels that tell the movers which room.
Janice plans the packing and doesn't pack the boxes; movers pack faster and are insured for it. Organized by Janice isn't a moving company: no truck, no heavy lifting, no long-distance moves.
Timing: usually two to four sessions over the month before the move.

- Parents downsizing, often with an adult son or daughter arranging it from out of town.
