Pricing
Pricing is by the session, so the number is known before Janice arrives. The only variable is how many sessions a space needs, and the plan states that before you commit. The first 20-minute call is free.
Supplies
Sessions
4 hours. $300.
For a pantry, a reach-in closet, a desk, or a child's room. The usual first session.
6 hours. $420.
For a kitchen, a walk-in closet, one garage day, or a move-in day.
20 hours, prepaid. $1,350.
For garages, whole homes, and moves, used in sessions of any length from a half day up. Hours don't expire; after 12 months, unused hours can still be used or refunded at the rate paid.
The hourly rate is $75, and every session is at least 4 hours. The full day works out to $70 an hour and the package to $67.50. Extra time is $75 an hour in half-hour steps, and Janice asks first.
What's included in every session
Planning before the session. Sorting supplies and labels. One car load of donations to MCC Thrift Store in Rancho Cucamonga, receipt emailed. A shopping list with links if you want one. Written notes after each visit. Questions between sessions by text or email. The two-week check-in.
Products and travel
Products, only if you want them: store cost plus 20 percent, with a $50 minimum per order, and every receipt. You approve a written estimate and prepay it before Janice shops. Sales tax applies to products, not to labor.
Travel: no charge within 20 miles of Upland. From 20 to 35 miles, $25 flat per session. Beyond 35 miles, agreed in writing before booking.
In-home walkthrough before a whole-home or moving project: $75, credited in full against the first session. If you decide not to go ahead, it's the only charge.
Haul-away of large items: through your city's bulky-item pickup or a junk hauler, paid to them directly.
Example projects
- Pantry: one half day. $300.
- Walk-in closet: one full day. $420.
- Two-car garage: two full days. $840.
- Move-in, three-bedroom house: two to four full days, $840 to $1,680. Or the 20-hour package, $1,350, plus $75 an hour beyond 20 hours.
- Whole home, four bedrooms: usually two or three 20-hour packages over several weeks, $2,700 to $4,050. Quoted in the plan.
Products and travel, if any, are added. The deposit and the walkthrough fee are credits against these totals.
Founding offer: the first five homes
The business is new, and the first five projects are 15 percent off. In return, Janice asks for a short feedback call when the work is done and permission to photograph the finished space, never people and never your address. When the five places are filled, this section comes down.
Deposit, payment, and rescheduling
A $100 deposit holds your dates and is applied to the bill for your final session. Package hours and product estimates are paid in advance.
Payment is due at the end of each session, by credit or debit card, bank transfer, or Venmo.
Rescheduling is free with 48 hours' notice. With less notice, but not on the day, the deposit moves to the new date once. A same-day cancellation or no-show is billed at the 4-hour minimum, $300, with the deposit applied toward it. If someone else takes the slot, nothing is charged.
Illness or a real emergency is excused at any notice; tell Janice as soon as you know.
If Janice has to cancel, she gives as much notice as she can and reschedules at your convenience, and your deposit stays in place.
The written plan you approve carries these same terms in full.
The guarantee
If a space doesn't work the way it was planned, tell Janice within 14 days and she comes back and fixes it at no charge.
